Volunteer to Talk

Volunteering to talk is an important task to consider as you look to think more effectively, take action and grow your small business.  Many small business owners are either too shy to speak in public or believe they have too little to offer anyone.  Realize that speaking to groups is an underused approach to growing your small business. 

For this action step, consider contacting three local church or school groups and see if you can speak to one of them for 15 minutes during an upcoming meeting.   Make the presentation about something of interest to the audience, not about your company.  Doing so can allow you to get engage with potential customers you might not otherwise reach.
