Improve Your Reaction

With so much out of your control, remember that the one thing you do have control over is how you react to situations, people and events.  It’s easy to react in haste but is that really how you want to react if you gave yourself time to think about what happened or was said?  Be conscious of your ability to improve your reaction and doing so can help you work towards implementing this suggestion.e things you need to do in your personal or professional life.

 

For this action step, consider counting to ten before you react to something.   If you are engaged in a conversation with someone and want to practice this action step, try asking them an additional question or two as they can help you find the ten seconds you need so that you can react with intention and purpose.
